Push and pull, bend and break,
Sunspots pulsing; tunnel vision collapse.
I violently recoil and realize I'm still awake,
Daylight recollections of lifetimes long past.
And then comes the night...
No moon and no stars,
Just my world decaying behind mental bars.
Visions of a spherical life,
Distorting down into a single dimension:
Permanent despair.
Bitter solace in solitude.
I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
Nirvana, for whatever reason, was my gateway to metal and heavy music in general. So this brings me full circle. The covers are really faithful but only as Thou can deliver it. rettisawesome
